The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) program is geared towards training students to be technically competent. It is a skill necessary to be professionally competitive taking into account the trend of convergence in professions. The competencies outlined are basic life skills for a digital world that enable students to function in a knowledge-based economy and an information-rich society. These skills are no longer optional or complementary. They are an essential component of a student's preparation for life and the world of work. It is taught in integration with other subjects.
